disperses to
diminished chance of light
as compressed skies suffocate to
smokes rise

breaths of
disaster ex-
haled with force to destroy
life’s worth underplayed by the living
itself

echoes
of despair now
quiet – earth mourns ruins of
humanity or by…in faith
heads bow

  23. there is no wasted word in your poems, they are economical yet filled and expansive. I guess I was thinking about the words, abridged and compressed, and reflecting on how your poetry defies limits.
